All-Out Attacks can now be initiated by any party member (except navigators) once every enemy has been downed. A new feature to this game are Highlight which are performed in a similar vein to Showtime, albeit it is performed with only one character rather than two. Takeyuki Kiuchi: A salesperson and former professional baseball player. Once a promising athlete, a six-year old Motoha managed to score a home run against him ten years prior, embarrassing him in front of his colleagues and the media.

As he boards the train, he notices the Metaverse Navigator appear on his phone and the owl from before begins speaking to him. As the protagonist taps the app on his phone, he enters the Metaverse and the owl introduces himself as Lufel. After a scuffle with Shadows, Persona 5 The Phantom X the protagonist awakens his persona and the two fight their way out of Mementos.
After the scene ends, it is revealed that it was just a nightmare that the protagonist had. After waking up from the dream, he makes his way to school and a mysterious owl proceeds to follow him.

Tamayo Yoshida: A second-year high school student and a member of the school female baseball team who wants Motoha Arai to start playing baseball again.
They also appear within the CrossFate storyline where it is revealed they exist in a parallel world to the protagonist's group of Phantom Thieves.
Nagisa and Lufel enter Kiuchi's palace and discover that Motoha also entered the palace, who awakens to her Persona after being verbally berated by a Shadow form of Kiuchi. While traversing through Kiuchi's palace, they discover that Motoha hitting a slider thrown by a Kiuchi, along with a scandal resulting from Kiuchi's purchasing of an escort, forced him off of the baseball team and into an office job, leading to his misogynistic desires.
The game begins in a similar vein to how Persona 5 begins, midway through the infiltration at Niijima's Palace. However, when Joker begins to make his escape, a hooded intruder intervenes and attacks him.
